Writing Spree – Part 1

This is me, back in the fold, looking forward to write again. Nearly a month ago, I came across this writing challenge on Sweek.com, where one could contribute stories, poems, essays – you name it!; old or new, published or unpublished, doesn’t matter. What’s more, you might even end up getting paid for writing, provided you manage to win one of the many different prizes. I ended up posting a poem and a couple of old stories, keeping my fingers crossed all this while. The results will be made known in January, 2018: a long wait, if I may say so. So what should I be doing in the mean time, aside from biting my nails, waiting for a lucky break? Seems like Sweek.com has an answer to my problem. They are organizing another writing contest, this time the duration is longer but the basic rules stay the same as before. So, here I am, rolling up my sleeves, dusting my laptop thoroughly, oiling the machinery that I’m about to jangle, while I prepare myself mentally to write again, after a long time. This post is basically my tiny roar of triumph, at being able to write again. I missed writing for so long; now, I’m back with a vengeance. Meanwhile, since I thought that some of you might be interested in looking up this writing contest that I’m participating in, here’s the link:

Do check it out, if you haven’t already done so. If nothing else, at least it will be fun spinning new stories again. Bonne chance!
